Best FREE WordPress plugins
Reccomended FREE WordPress Plugins
One of the reasons why wordpress is popular, is due to its relative easy use and also the diversity of plugins which convert a range of actions and features
Many of the below plugins are ones I have used or still use and recommend.
SEO Yoast
This is a go to plugin for most new WordPress users. It does the basics well, it will help with meta descriptions and titles and also slugs.
When starting out this is always the first plugin I say to start with, they also do a paid version too.
Classic Editor
This one may not be really needed for anyone new to WordPress. This one basically converts the recently updated page editor back to the original version which any old school users like myself prefer.
However, if your new, don’t learn bad habits, keep going forward and may advice is to keep using the new up to date version. I only prefer the classic editor bevcuase I don’t often like change! ha
Auto Post Scheduler
You may not need this, but if you have created a tonne of content, and want to drip feed that content active in your website then use this, its easy and simple to use, and best of all it’s a free WordPress plugin!
Manage Wp – Worker
I love this plug in! If you have more than 1 website, maybe you have many websites, I strongly recommend this one, as you can put all your websites in one place. This therefore means you don’t have to sign in each time you need to access your WordPress website.
Sign in once, and select your website from your list and viola! your in your dashboard in your website.
Mark Posts
Oh what is Mark Posts, I hear you say?!
I use this to highlight certain posts in a different colour so I know what action I have taken or if I need to take further action on particular posts. Simply, yet helpful when trying to keep your posts organised.
WooCommerce
Fundamentally WooCommerce for WordPress is a free plugin which can be used on this platform when wanting to create an Eccomerce store.
The basics may be enough for some, but I tend to find often adds are required to do more elaborate functions within the store itself. Still a great plugin when selling stuff online.
