If you don’t know already, in very recent times Google made some considerable changes to their algorithms, therefore leading to how they ranked websites on their search engines. since the HCU [Helpful Content Update], it has created a shock wave throughout the SEO industry and also amontst wesite owners, especially amongst niche website owners.
Everything related to the Google algorithm is all opinions, my personal opinion on this is that ever since there was an introduction to aia and related Technologies, meaning people starting to create and submit content on Mass, Google had to respond and they did this by targeting content which was proving not to be helpful. Own the Market
The thing with organic Google traffic, if that is your only sole way to get customers than that traffic, that by rights that traffic isnt actually yours.
You are at the mercy of Google, you are receiving traffic ONLY what they allow you to have!
So how do we get around this? To what the mindset you would need now to market a website is not to be where you can get traffic from rather than how do I own the traffic.
By this time I mean is how can you make your traffic diverse, from different platforms whilst at the same time holding on to customers so you can contact them directly without being reliant on search engines, algorithms or even other platforms.

Using platforms and other websites is a great way to gain traffic, however ultimately it is their ball their game their rules. they can literally stop that traffic instantly and then worst case scenario you are left for no business.
So here are my tips into creating your own website diversity marketing plan:
Social Media Marketing
Social media is a great way to get up and running with most businesses. it doesn’t work for every single type of business however broadly speaking it is definitely worth getting involved in. because social media has so many different platforms from Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and many more, this in itself can yuo give yuo many ways to gain traffic.

Video Marketing
Another great way of bringing in new customers and traffic for your website is via Video marketing. now when it comes to video creation people think of YouTube, however there are other platforms such as Vimeo, Daily Motion and Wista you can harness for more traffic to.
Now admittedly creating videos is something that requires a different skill set that not everybody is aware of, or alternatives in needs to be outsourced to a price.

In the first instance we do need the traffic whether that’s from SEO, social media, video marketing, paid traffic or any of the forms over traffic generation that you are using.
The key now is to hold that traffic, and we do that via email Marketing.
